Cheapest upgrade to run GTA 6
Prediction-based Official specs aren't out. Here's how to upgrade smart without overpaying.
1. Find your bottleneck first
Run the checker. It tells you whether your GPU or CPU is holding you back. Don't buy a GPU if the CPU is the limit.
2. GPU: aim for PS5-class with 8 GB+ VRAM
Our predicted sweet spot for 1080p is an index around 100 with at least 8 GB (12 GB preferred).

3. CPU: 6+ modern cores
The consoles use 8-core Zen 2 CPUs (PlayStation Blog - PS5 hardware specs). On AM4 boards a drop-in Ryzen 5 5600 / 5800X3D is often the cheapest big jump; on older Intel, a platform change may be needed.
4. Wait for official specs before big purchases
PC hasn't even been announced. GPU prices move; buying early can mean paying more for less.
